THE WORLD

The world is the planet Earth and all of its inhabitants, including humans, animals, and plants. The world is an incredibly diverse and complex place, with a wide range of cultures, languages, and natural environments. The world is facing a number of challenges, including climate change, geopolitical conflicts, global health crises, poverty, and inequality. It is essential that we work together to address these challenges and create a more sustainable and equitable future. CDG continues to foster effective working relationships between all concerned individuals, groups, communities and organizations working to make a healthy difference.

Mr. Phipps initiated and successfully promoted VIA's Clean Computing Initiative; Asia's first green initiative to reduce and offset the emission of carbon dioxide related to the VIA C7-D processor. Scott Phipps architected VIA's Clean Computing into these five domains: 1) Carbon Free Computing introduced the world's first carbon free desktop. 2) Solar Computing is a world-leading project powered PC's solely on solar power. 3) Lead-free RoHS Computing realized VIA's commitment to our environment by introducing the world's first RoHS processor. 4) Energy Efficient Computing explored to educate normal consumers how to save energy in their daily usage of PC's. 5) Quiet Computing pioneered studies on the effects of noise to consumers and educated the market how to reduce it... Scott leaving VIA is the loss of a great asset.

I have known Dr. Phipps for the past 5 years... I have always been impressed by his knowledge of world affairs, culture, medicine, and his insights into how healthcare and healthcare training and operations work and how they can be viably improved - for the benefit of both patients and the healthcare sector overall, at the macro level.
